to Empower Growth
Our teacher is Ian, a 3rd Dan Shotokan Karate instructor.
Karate practice comprises 3 categories of training which are all linked together. Kihon, Kata and Kumite.
Students are encouraged to practice all categories in order to gain a good understanding of karate and its application for self-defence.
Our karate classes comprise practice of
-
Kihon (basic routines),
-
Kumite (fighting drills), and
-
Kata (sets of routines organised to help us memorise techniques)
